Club update for Sauchie supporters

Updated: Jan 27, 2021

Sauchie Juniors would like to update supporters on a number of measures currently taking place around the club in preparation for next season.

  • The club have invested in the purchase of some new tables for the bar area of the social club. These have been purchased from a local pub which was having a re-fit and we hope you’ll find these an improvement on what was there before.

  • Renovations at Beechwood continue with the home and away dressing rooms being swapped over and an extension being added to the new home dressing room. Once we’re nearing completion we’ll share some photos with you. The new referee’s room is coming on as well at a rate of knots. This is one of the changes that will help the club in gaining their licence from the SFA. Stay tuned for future updates.

  • Thanks to local singer Danny Wilson who did a live-streamed gig for the club on the 26th of June. We raised a fantastic £435 through this event, and the club have invited Danny and his partner to be guests of the club at the first game of the season. If you tuned in you will have seen wee Zak who stole the show, and we have invited him to be mascot at the same game.

  • Bonus ball and lucky numbers both draws are still running each week and bringing into money to the club.

  • Volunteers – we are extremely lucky at Sauchie to have an amazing group of highly-skilled volunteers who are always more than willing to roll their sleeves up and get involved in supporting their local club. A massive thank you to everyone who is helping the club.

  • Pitch – with the weather being perfect for growing we have seen the pitch come on leaps and bounds. It was last cut on Thursday and with the recent sunny and rainy spells it’s almost needing another already.

  • Sponsors – we have been extremely fortunate at the club to have such kind local businesses who want to get involved with the club and we are extremely grateful. We do still have sponsorship opportunities available to suit the majority of budgets, including pitchside advertising and tracksuits. Get in touch if you would like more details.

  • Chairman’s thanks – “I would like to give my utmost thanks to all who have been involved in the full transformation and various other works as it wouldn’t be possible without all the help. It is greatly appreciated and I just wanted to ensure everyone was aware of how amazing an effort it’s been by everyone.” – Karl Rennie

  • Season Tickets – as we previously mentioned we are awaiting details of when we can start again and the format before announcing any season ticket plans.

  • Arial photos – we were very fortunate to receive a opportunity to get some drone footage of Beechwood completed by Kevin at Kayem Photography. We quickly accepted and he was at Beechwood on Saturday morning. We’ve shared some of the footage but we will bring you the rest over the next few days.
