Club statement: Fraser moves on

Sauchie Juniors FC wishes to advise that manager Fraser Duncan is stepping down as manager of the club.

Fraser is leaving to pursue a new opportunity in his non-football career.

Everyone at the club would like to wish Fraser and his family, who have given so much of their time and effort over the last nine years, all the very best for the future.

Having taken over in 2009, Fraser guided the club to two successive promotions, taking us from the South Division to the Super League.

He also delivered silverware in 2014 as we lifted the East of Scotland Cup, beating Arniston Rangers in the final.

Fraser established Sauchie as a major force in the East Region, and guided the club to the Premier League title in 2016/17.

He leaves the club as the most successful manager in our history.

Fraser said: “It’s been a great nine years. Over that length of time the club gets in your blood and it means more to me than just being the manager. This is more than a club to me.

“I’ve had a great time here and there have been a lot more highs than there have been lows. I’ve loved every single minute of it.

“I wish everyone at the club all the best for the future.”

Sauchie Juniors have now started the process of moving on and further announcements will follow in due course.
